From Product Hunt to Vegas—And We’re Hiring!
+ ski trip, marketer basketball event & endless espresso martinis!

Hey howdy hey!! We’re hiring AGAIN at Creator Match 🧩, and we’re looking for someone to help shape the future of LinkedIn Creator Marketing…
Role: Campaign Manager
Type: Part-time contractor (potential to go full-time)
Location: Remote 🌎 (can be outside the US)
We just got back from Creator Economy Live in Vegas 🎲🚀
❄️ Monday: Wrapped up a ski trip in Tahoe, battled flight cancellations, and took a 10-hour detour to LA.
🧳 Tuesday: Quick turnaround—unpacked snowboard bag, repacked, and headed straight to Vegas for back-to-back client dinners.
🏀 Wednesday: 7 AM marketer basketball game, countless brand partner meetings (AG1, Chicago Bulls, Notion, Hootsuite, OpusClip, Fiverr, and more), endless espresso martinis, Creator Match product demos, and a late-night podcast + partnership party.
♠️ The rest of the week included more meetings, a celebrity poker tour, and catching up with the best in the industry.
✈️ Next 3 weeks: LA (Creator Event), New York (Fiverr event), Miami (client meetings), and Austin (SXSW)…
2 weeks ago, we launched Creator Match’s Chrome Extension on Product Hunt—and we’re taking you behind the scenes.
First off, this was easily one of the scariest days of my life. It’s not easy launching something so publicly to the masses, especially a software product. And bugs 🐞 are the name of the game in software.
What the heck did we launch?
Creator Match is the ONLY free tool that allows you to discover which LinkedIn Creators are running brand sponsorships, access detailed post performance analytics (organic & sponsored), monitor competitor sponsorships, track creator stats, analyze content by format and engagement type, view posting schedules, filter/sort posts to refine your strategy, and so much more.
🤔 What is Product Hunt?
Product Hunt is a popular online platform where entrepreneurs, creators, and tech enthusiasts discover and share new products, apps, and tools. It serves as a launchpad for startups, allowing them to gain visibility, receive feedback, and connect with early adopters and investors.
We kept it simple. No paid ads. Just LinkedIn, our website, our email list, and Product Hunt itself. Here’s how it went down:
📌 The Product Hunt Breakdown
Before we got to work on Product Hunt, I consulted some friends on LinkedIn how we can have a successful Product Hunt launch (shout out Sherry Wong and Christina Le).
They said get ready for a LONG 24 hours as you have a 1-day window to get top product of the day. Safe to say I didn’t sleep for 3 days straight.
The Product Hunt “algorithm” is pretty simple. The more upvotes your launch gets, the higher it ranks in the daily launch category. The higher you are, the more users you get. Pretty straightforward.
We also learned that a successful launch requires a strong tagline, images and description to explain the product. So here’s what we went with:
🔹 Tagline: "Grow & Monetize on LinkedIn (#1 Free Chrome Extension)" – Simple, clear, and focused on impact. I also added it into my LinkedIn profile and changed our branding (see below)!
🔹 Visuals: Strong screenshots showing off how Creator Match works.
🔹 Key Features:
✔️ Discover which creators are running brand sponsorships
✔️ Analyze competitors & post performance
✔️ Source creators and refine content strategies
✔️ Unlock new monetization opportunities
We also had a pop up on our website and chrome extension itself to build that extra awareness.
I received a bunch of sales messages offering to boost my Product Hunt ranking—for a price. Basically, pay-to-play for fake vanity metrics.
And while I realized that tons of products “fake” their upvotes, that’s not what we’re about at Creator Match. We’re building something real. Buying upvotes and faking hype? That’s the opposite of what a Product Hunt launch should be. The whole point is to get honest feedback from a real community—not bots or spammed-up numbers that mean nothing.

Cold outreach I got on LinkedIn
We also made a string of different post formats including some with humor (see below):
I even got into the trenches and texted and direct messaged literally every person I know. (If you took action on my message, I thank you!)
🔥 The Results
📊 87 Upvotes → Solid engagement despite limited external promotion
💬 133 Comments → A highly active discussion with great feedback
🏆 #13 Product of the Day → Competitive ranking among top tech launches
👀 756 Signups & Installs → A strong post-launch spike in users
Our goal was to hit Top 10 for Product of the Day—and we didn’t quite make it, but we were damn close. What’s even better? We got more comments than most of the products ahead of us. Real engagement > fake rankings any day.
💡 What We Learned
✅ Hype without substance is empty.
You can push all the traffic you want, but if your product doesn’t solve a real problem or offer value, people will see right through it. Focus on the real work behind the scenes, not just the launch.
✅ People don’t care about perfection, they care about progress.
Don’t wait for everything to be flawless. Launch when you’re ready to show your journey, not just the polished end result. People want to be part of your growth—not just admire a finished product.
✅ Community is your secret weapon.
Building a strong community around your product is key. When people feel connected to your mission, they’ll go the extra mile to support you—whether it’s upvoting, commenting, or spreading the word.
⏭️ What’s Next?
We’re using the momentum to:
✔️ Refine the onboarding process for even more seamless user adoption.
✔️ Iterate based on user feedback to improve the Chrome extension.
✔️ Double down on growth strategies beyond Product Hunt.
The support from the community has been overwhelming, and we couldn’t have done it without you! If you haven’t checked it out yet, now’s the time:
Thanks again for your unwavering support! Stay tuned for some exciting updates as we continue to build the most advanced LinkedIn software, tailored just for you.
PS: Put yourself out there. The hardest part is starting, but once you do, the opportunities will follow…
